Families of 4 will have no trouble finding a great hotel in downtown Austin as most of the fancy hotels offer double Queen or double King rooms. Many also offer interconnecting rooms and some offer magnificent suites if you can afford it. The one thing to watch out for is some hotels with awesome rooftop pools tend to have an adult focus in the pool with afternoon and evening adult only parties that make the pool off limits to children.

The rooms are really generously sized and well priced. the double queen room has a sofa bed as well so can take up to 6 people. They offer a basic breakfast and it’s not far to downtown and even closer to South Congress.
